    Job Summary:

     

    Develops and coordinates with Product Development, Marketing Communications, EH& S, and Legal; and maintains all labels and literature for new products, special products, and special Right-To-Know labels through a print-on-demand system or other process. Controls the documenting and printing of printed matter in the division. Supports the purchasing and maintains inventory for printed matter within the division. Maintains, trouble shoots, and upgrades all related computer equipment, peripherals, and software used in the production of labels. Works with other Chesterton warehouses to facilitate efficient product labeling and supports the field with specific label and printed matter projects. Responsible for printed matter budget and analysis of variances.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Works with Product Development, Marketing Communications, Environmental Health and Safety, Legal, Manufacturing and suppliers to coordinate the development, printing and maintenance of all printed matter.
    • Develops all labels and literature for all new products and special products.
    • Develops all Pennsylvania and New Jersey Right-To-Know labels.
    • Develops all documentation, maintains all label files for Chesterton warehouses.
    • Controls the printing (to current revision) of all print-on-demand labels and literature.
    • Provides manufacturing labels on demand.
    • Maintains all related inventories, computer hardware and software.
    • Requisitions all supplies, equipment, and software used in the production of labels.
    • Trains backup personnel on the use of the equipment.
    • Provides support in the evaluation of new software and peripherals.
    • Proofs all new labels for accuracy.

    Complexity of Duties:

    • Works without supervision. Independent action and major decision-making required and inter-functional coordination.
    • Ability to run more than one project at a time.
    • Ability to coordinate and schedule needs of several departments.
    • Experienced, thorough understanding of label requirements and capabilities of computer system.
    • Contacts are primarily within the division, with frequent exposure to suppliers and some exposure to direct field request.
    • Maintains accurate cost records to support competitive purchasing practices.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Minimum High School Degree required with some college preferred.
    • Three years related experience preferred. Experience in a manufacturing and/or business environment required.

    • Strong English and grammar skills with the ability to perform many projects at one time.
    • Special Attention required to detail and accuracy of print.
    • Ability to work with, troubleshoot, and understand computer and related software.
