This job can be described as:
At Chesterton, we have a laser focus on our customers. The Shipper / Receiver is responsible for a wide variety of tasks involved in the order fulfillment of customer orders, shipping, receiving and warehousing of raw materials, finished goods supplies, and equipment. Process incoming items, checks goods received against purchase orders and/or invoices, perform quality control checks on incoming raw materials and finished goods. Prepares and maintains records of both received goods and merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges for goods prepared for final shipment. Responsible for basic cycle counting and reconciliation.

A typical day at work would include:
- Responsible for using D365 to properly execute orders, create inventory inquiries to pick, pack, stage and receive orders.
- Packages customer orders by using proper packaging and labeling methods which involves using the computer database system.
- Prepares proper shipping documents, i.e., truck bills of lading, domestic air freight forms, etc.
- Prepare export documents on designated export shipments, as necessary.
- Uses computer system to properly execute charges and weights of materials and finished goods.
- Responsible for physically putting incoming materials (raw material, finished goods and purchase for resale) in proper locations and well as transacting these systematically.
- Responsible for shipping/receiving both hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
- Coordinates shipments between Chesterton entities both domestically and internationally.
- Transport products throughout the facility and between the three Groveland buildings.
- Responsible for the completion of housekeeping tasks of assigned area: Trash / recycling removal daily, refilling of air bubbles, labels, boxes, paper in printers, etc.
- Assist in the loading of daily truck shipments.
- Operates and maintains fork truck as needed.
- May assist in the training of new Shipper / Receivers.
- This specific role/function is subject to our On-Call Policy and may be required to remain available during off- schedule hours to support the business needs.
Experience you need coming into this job:
- At least 1-2 years’ experience preferred in a Warehouse or Shipping/Receiving environment.
- Ability to work under general Supervision.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. on a frequent basis.
- Ability to follow and adhere to Warehouse shipping/receiving and inventory control procedures.
- Must be able to prioritize tasks and execute tasks quickly and efficiently.

At Chesterton, we have a laser focus on our customers. The Component Picker/Packer supports our customers by correctly picking components used in our mechanical seal assemblies and then packaging the completed seal assemblies for our customers.
Job Model: On-Site

- Sets up and operates all conventional machine shop equipment, including, lathes, millers, Bridgeport's, boring mills.
- Sets up, programs, and operates CNC equipment. Work involves moderate to complex set ups and close to critical tolerances on various material types.
- Develops and fabricates fixtures as needed.
- Performs complex, diversified machining operations necessary to produce the Company's manufacturing products as well as experimental/prototype precision parts for field testing/test lab.

This job can be described as:
This position provides various support functions within the Manufacturing Cells. Must have the ability to run various types of equipment, utilize a variety of hand and power tools, use sound judgment in making decisions and capable of monitoring critical operations. Responsible for recognizing, correcting when possible, and reporting all operational variations. Assists in moving of material throughout the facility and/or cell as required. Performs direct labor/value added tasks within the area as required. Performs transactions in the Business Software System that includes, but is not limited to, material issues, scrap, closing Manufacturing Orders, reporting labor, and material transfers. May be required to occasionally set up and operate various machinery in the machine shop including manual mills and lathes and various CNC equipment. May perform equipment maintenance.

- Performs sub-assembly tasks such as face insertion, pin/lug insertion, pressing of components and other miscellaneous sub-assembly functions.
- Sets up and operates the Lapping machines to lap, polish and/or rework various faces while adhering to manufacturing work instructions.
- Utilizing “Loctite” materials performs the final sealing operation on faces and holders to insure that there is no leakage between the face and holder. Pressure testing is required to validate the parts.
- Performs de-burring operations, utilizing drill presses, polishers and other hand held power tools, removes burrs and sharp edges from machined parts. Care must be exercised as a part can be ruined by over de-burring.
- May assist with material handling activities and the movement of hazardous waste and raw material (bar & tube stock). Will move finished components from the Manufacturing Cells to the Assembly Cells.
- Stamp and identify parts utilizing vibro-peen, electro-etch, automated marking machines, and metal stamps following Engineering standards and specifications.
- Performs transactions in the Business Management System pertaining to closing manufacturing orders, material issues and scrap, and material movement between work areas. The transactions are critical to maintaining accurate inventory levels, accounting for raw material usage and accounting for labor hours spent.
- Consults work orders and interprets to determine specific customer requirements.
- Works under general direction from supervisor.
- Basic level of job knowledge required to perform routine assembly and sub-assembly operations.
- Ability to work according to written/verbal instructions and procedures which will ensure safety on the job and efficient, effective assembly process.
- Ability to work well with others as part of a team.

This job can be described as:
Develops design layouts, creates 3-Dimensional models, and 2-Dimensional drawings of complex new products (mechanical/electrical). Work is performed under general direction from engineers and customers with minimum supervision. Independently determines and develops approach to work and solutions that often require considerable initiative and independent judgment. Work/final plans are reviewed/checked for accuracy by engineer and/or Drafting Supervisor upon completion. Provides technical leadership to drafters and engineering personnel with product and CAD related issues/problems. May be required to act as the Drafting Supervisor in his/her absence. Develops new drafting processes to improve delivery time using CAD tool and product knowledge. Provides assistance and mentoring to other CAD groups as required.

Job Summary:
Provide sales, service and technical support for specific end user sales territories. Develop and implement territory sales strategies. Responsible for meeting sales and expense budget objectives. Provide and direct the tactical execution of conceptual sales strategies and implementation of contractual agreements. Depending on territory location, may be required to obtain TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Hybrid positions will require employees to work both on-site and remote each week under a schedule that has been determined and agreed upon by you and your manager.
Responsibilities:
- Achieve the sales budget for a defined group of user customers.
- Manage activity with area expense budget.
- Maintains company contacts and account listing of territory.
- In response to user needs, develops applications, prepares quotations and enters orders for Chesterton products.
- Focused on resolution of problems for the user.
- Drive regional, corporate account business strategies and new product introductions.
- Provide formal quarterly business plan update to management along with monthly update of 90 day rolling forecast.
- Provides product, installation and application training for end users.
- Conduct in-plant and hotel seminars to educate users in the use of Chesterton products
- Act as liaison between Chesterton and its user customers.
- When necessary, may be called upon to deliver product to the user.
- Able to measure user equipment to apply Chesterton product and install products when required.
- Conforms to all Chesterton Standard Operating Policies and Procedures.

Job Summary:
Sets up and operates a full range of conventional machine shop equipment, including lathes, millers, bridgeports boring mills, in addition to setting up, programming, and operating CNC equipment to perform work involving moderate to complex set-ups and close to critical tolerances on all material types. Performs complex and diversified machining operations. Inspects work and performs quality checks to ensure conformance to engineering drawings. Cross checks fellow machinists and advises of any quality issues. Directly communicates with Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering teams regarding design and programming questions/issues. Works as part of a team - must be willing to support the team and collaborate to support quality and production goals. Will train other machinists as required.

All fully remote positions will require you to travel on site 2-4 times per month depending upon business needs at your own expense.

Responsibilities:
- Sets up and operates all conventional machine shop equipment, including, lathes, millers, bridgeports, boring mills.
- Sets up, programs, and operates CNC equipment. Work involves moderate to complex set ups and close to critical tolerances on various material types.
- Develops and fabricates fixtures as needed.
- Performs complex, diversified machining operations necessary to produce the Company's manufacturing products as well as experimental/prototype precision parts for field testing/test lab.
- Machine work is performed from standard documentation, rough sketches, preliminary drawings, verbal discussions, and samples.
- Inspects own work and performs quality checks to ensure conformance to engineering drawings. Cross checks fellow machinists and advises of any quality issues. Must support Chesterton Quality policies.
- Maintains safe and clean work area on a day-to day basis.
- Keeps informed of and follows machine shop safety policies and procedures.
Complexity of Duties:
- Works under general direction. No instructions needed on routine work. General guidance provided upon request for special assignments.
- Manufactures complex components.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of all standard equipment in machine shop.
- Performs diversified and complex machining operations. Works on the most difficult assignments.
