    At Chesterton, we have a laser focus on our customers! This job impacts the customer by assisting our domestic and international customers in setting up and administering our customer training schools.

     

    Our trainers are the best in the sealing, coating, and industrial lubricants industry. Are you the best at managing the DETAILS THAT COUNT? This position assists with the organization and implementation of training programs. Assists with the administration of the Learning Management System. Provides support to Online Training users. Works with the Customer Services Coordinator to arrange customer focused programs functions. Supports the Global Training Manager with all training related materials. Assists in marketing of global training to global sales force and end users. The Training and LMS Coordinator must be available on select evenings and/or weekends to host cohort dinners and receptions.

     

    While we are not able to sponsor visas for this position, we WILL consider candidates who are currently in the US and have at least 12 months remaining on a valid OPT.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    Training Administration

    • Coordinates guest speakers/topics based on current Divisional product/program offerings.
    • Opens and hosts Welcome Receptions and Graduation Dinners for International Customers. These take place off site and during evening and weekend hours.
    • Generates all promotional and training books in English or natural language as required.
    • Performs facility preparation and clean-up for all training programs and meetings
    • Works with sales managers to coordinate unique meal requirements for International Consumers.
    • Coordinates distribution of literature and works with distributors in a support role for any aspects of the training program.
    • Host customer related events.
    • Conduct billing responsibilities for schools including liaison with global finance on new channel partner program.

    LMS Assistant

    • Assist e-learning coordinator with development of e-learning.
    • Setup of Web Conferencing technologies for training purposes.
    • Assists with all aspects of the LMS Online Training software under the direction of the e-learning coordinator.
    • Must be flexible to travel to office or remote sites.
    • Evening and weekend work will be frequently required.
    • Assist with the development of the Global Training web area.
    • Occasionally perform web area maintenance.

    Complexity of Duties:

    • Employee works under general direction. Detailed instruction given for new lines of work or special assignments
    • Able to provide optimized solutions to general guidelines.
    • Frequent inter-departmental and outside representative contacts.
    • Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives.

    Education and/or Experience:

    • Associates Degree or 4-year degree or equivalent experience
    • LMS experience preferred, but will teach
    • Willingness to work evenings to host events (occasionally) and early morning for set ups (often).
    • Certification in Microsoft Office suite, i.e.; Access, Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook preferred

    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work as an event host, getting conversation going, helping people get to know each other, etc…

    • Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision making.
    • Ability and willingness to have a flexible schedule
    • Must have the ability to quickly learn and use new software
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations.
    • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
    • Occasional travel required.
