This job can be described as:

Provide detail-oriented administrative support for Talent Acquisition and Central Functions in the Human Resources Department. Assists department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees. Serve as project support for central functions within the HR department. Interfaces with management, cross functional organizations and internal/external customers. Undertakes various functional projects as required. Provides standard office support.

Job Model:  Hybrid

All fully remote positions will require you to travel on site 2-4 times per month depending upon business needs at your own expense.

 

Hybrid positions will require employees to work both on-site and remote each week under a schedule that has been determined and agreed upon by you and your manager.

 

On-Site positions will require employees to work on-site for each of their scheduled shifts.

 

A typical day at work would include:

  • Ensure that each candidate feels valued in our application and interview process.
  • Support team of 2 recruiters by scheduling and confirming an average of 10-15 onsite interviews per week.
  • Review each interview team’s calendars, send invites to the teams and candidates, and follow-up schedules with confirmations.
  • Arrange travel both domestically and internationally for each onsite interview if applicable.
  • Constant contact with each candidate by email/phone to retrieve availability, and confirm final schedules.
  • Provide candidates with interview information: interview schedule, directions, interview team and titles, and all travel information.
  • Prepare hiring paperwork for HRIS team.
  • Track background and drug screening results.
  • Order random drug screens and background checks for internal personnel as needed.
  • Prepare and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality.
  • HR department coordinator for posting of Electronic Communications.
  • Coordinates HR team meetings, creates and updates meeting agendas, and records action items.
  • Coordination of department training events such as teleconferences, seminars, webinars.
  • Perform support functions to Human Resources department as needed i.e. record keeping, mailings, answering telephones, referring messages, mail distribution, ordering of supplies and other related duties.
  • Point of contact for internal employee recognition system.
  • Works under general direction; ability to work independently.
  • Interacts with both internal and external customers at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work as a team player.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.

 

Experience you need coming into this job:

  • BA/BS, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in high-volume outgoing phone call settings or in an office environment preferred.
  • Superb written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ultra-professional phone manner.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Power Point
  • Self-direction, good judgment and high drive for task completion.
  • The ability to multi-task and follow through.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem solving and customer service skills.
  • Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
  • Flexible, high energy individual desiring to participate in and learn about all aspects of HR.

Targeted pay range: $23/hr. - $25/hr. depending on experience

 

Chesterton is committed to paying all its employees in a fair and equitable manner. The pay range associated with this position ($23/hr. - $25/hr. DOE) is Chesterton's good-faith salary estimate for the presently available position. Several roles at Chesterton are considered “leveled” positions and as such, the company reserves the right to advertise and or hire for this position at appropriate level depending on applicant’s skillset/experience. If the salary range to be offered for a “leveled” based position (I, II, III, etc.) is different than what was advertised on any posting, that range will be discussed with the candidate before they are formally invited to interview.

 

Hired applicants may be eligible for additional incentive compensation depending on the level and or function of the position which will be discussed with the candidate prior to formal interview. Payments under these programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

 

Please note that the final salary offered for any position will be based on many factors, including but not limited to: candidate qualifications such as education and experience, internal equity, geographical location, and budget. Please note, it is not the company's usual practice to hire near or at the top of a pay range for any position that is available.
