This position provides Quality Engineering and Supervisory support to the organization as assigned, including responsibility for the day to day operations of the Quality Inspection group and Quality Engineers within the IL/ARC Value Stream. Develops, implements, and executes the quality system requirements for all product lines, services, or major project areas with particular emphasis on modern quality technology implementation. The quality support will include supplier quality management, and manufacturing quality, management work within the quality organization and other major business functions (i.e. Production, Engineering, Purchasing, Finance, etc.) to develop and implement quality systems and methodologies as required to achieve organizational and company goals. |

Hybrid positions will require employees to work both on-site and remote each week under a schedule that has been determined and agreed upon by you and your manager. Responsibilities: | · Consistent, regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job. | · Directs the activities of assigned Inspection personnel & Quality Engineers. Coordinates the effective utilization of manpower, equipment and materials. | · Works cross functionally to implement proper inspection points in key process steps to protect the customer and brand. | · Understand, interpret and support activities required with respect to standards and regulatory requirements impacting products and processes. | · Understands operations, business system, order fulfillment process and performs all relevant quality functions. | · Responsible for adjusting practices within the Quality organization to ensure effective supplier quality control methods are in place. | · Establish effective data collection and monitoring to provide appropriate knowledge of suppliers and their impact on Groveland’s operations. | · Develop plans to reduce incoming inspections without impacting on product quality. | · Attend daily SQDIP meetings to report on any incoming quality complaints. | · Provide quality technology leadership in the implementation and/or maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, other quality/industry standards and Total Quality Management principles. | · Use Quality planning tools and techniques to define critical parameters of in-coming parts. | · Lead supplier corrective actions (8Ds) and communicate status internally. | · Participate in supplier audits and supplier selections. | · Develop and implement a company quality standard and metrics to measure progress. | · Be responsible for Operations Quality measurements and improvement process. | · Prepare documents, records and reports as appropriate. | · Follow up on all communications internally and externally essential to Quality operations. | · Secure data in a manner such as to ensure that the company’s interests are at all time protected. | · Maintains a safe work environment, ensures safety procedures are followed, and provides for proper housekeeping in the area. | · Leads, coaches, and develops a team to achieve departmental and organizational objectives by providing clear direction, expectations, and updates on priorities and progress. | · Provides timely ongoing performance feedback, conducts performance reviews, and supports employee development planning. | · Fosters an inclusive, engaged, and high-performing team environment while embracing Chesterton’s core values. | · Ensures team adherence to company policies, procedures, and applicable regulations. | · Initiates and partners with HR to review and update direct reports’ job descriptions, ensuring clarity in roles, expectations, and leveling. | · Effectively conducts sensitive employee discussions, including compensation-related conversations and disciplinary actions, with sound judgment and professionalism. | · Communicates & collaborates effectively across functions, levels and teams within the organization while supporting and driving departmental initiatives. |

Education and/or Experience: | · BS in Chemical Engineering or a related field. | · 6 -8 years related experience | · Business and operations experience are required. |
