Job Summary:

 

The VP/MD of EMEA is responsible for driving Profitable Sales Growth in Europe, Middle East and Africa territories. Chesterton sells through various channels, each requiring different sales approaches and operational support. This leader will be responsible for managing the activities of all sales, marketing, operational and functional personnel in the EMEA territory to achieve company objectives for sales, market share growth, expense management and profitability. The VP/MD will play a key role in developing the strategic plan for the region and will be an important participant on the global leadership team. S/he will be responsible for formulating and administering company policies, directing and coordinating EMEA activities to develop and implement long range goals and driving to meet business and profitability objectives.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Directs activities of the company’s EMEA sales force, representatives and distribution. Provides leadership development, management and sales support. Coordinates field sales efforts for end-user and OEM customers to enhance the ability of sales personnel to work effectively and achieve sales and profitability goals.
  • Directs activities of the company’s EMEA operational and functional groups, including company retail operations, manufacturing sites and service centers, financial reporting resources, and customer service. Works to manage, enhance and improve the resources required to support the EMEA business.
  • At the direction of the Global VP of Sales, directs activities of the company’s EMEA sales & distribution channel, sets sales and inventory objectives for distributors and monitors results to objectives.
  • Based on company strategic plans and guidelines, and coordinated with the other company corporate functions, establishes and directs sales and marketing strategies and programs including competitive analysis, product and consumer research, product planning and pricing, distribution, advertising, sales budgets and quotas and sales promotion policies.
  • Establishes and maintains contact with existing and potential customers. To enhance customer perception of company’s products and services, actively participates in selling efforts to support key accounts.
  • Provides strong connection to corporate headquarters and central functions including Finance, IT, HR and Quality.
  • Provides EMEA input to product development groups within the organization to ensure the development of market specific products, programs and services to maximize sales in our targeted industries.
  • Creates and maintains EMEA distributor scorecard to track, measure, analyze and improve performance of our distribution network.
  • Actively leads and participates in and supports the company quality systems as well as certifications (ISO 9000;2000 and ISO 14000;2004).
  • Ensures that EMEA and any supporting sales/operational sites conform to all governmental laws and requirements.
  • Must be able to travel frequently within assigned area (50+/-% of the time); international travel is required.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Works under direction from Senior Manager and Manager, Innovation and Technology Engineering to act as a kDR lead by participating in collaborative information collection from Manufacturing, IT, Sales, Marketing and presenting the kDR work package at reviews for successful execution.
  • Provide technical assistance to field sales personnel via telephone, telefax and/or customer visits.
  • Create documentation required by kDR process, and address all action items in a timely fashion using various tools including comparisons of new designs to reference files on Chesterton Product lines in kDR reviews
  • Troubleshoot mechanical seal applications via telephone, telefax and/or customer visits based on test reports, consultations with applications engineers, test lab and design engineering.      
  • Analyze failed seals as required. Provide a written report to the applicable inside account executive. Report should consist of applications information, observations, analysis and recommendations for corrective action. Maintain a log of failed seals.
  • Generate engineering change requests based on customer requests, design change requirements or drafting errors. Design change requirements are based on modifications deemed necessary by the application engineer to meet applications conditions (i.e. improper metallurgy, improper face materials, incorrect gland seal specified, incorrect/inadequate environmental controls available).
  • Generate engineering design orders based on customer requests. Generate sketches of adapters and environmental controls as necessary for drafting to adapt seal for installation. Specify materials of construction on sketches.
  • Provide PV, or maximum speed calculations, bushing flow and gland stress analysis as required to customer/specialist.
  • Maintain reference files on various mechanical seal division products. Provide copies of new information to applications engineering.
  • If requested, develop list of proven applications in particular area of specialization (i.e. API, CPI, Power, general, etc.) Prepare seminar to present to field sales at Distributors offices as required by managers and/or senior managers.

Responsible for a wide variety of complex mechanical and/or technical duties in the documentation and associated research of mechanical seals/mechanical packings/industrial lubricants/arc coatings/other sealing products. In an outsourcing environment, works with service providers to ensure their in-scope technical solutions are consistent with the enterprise's business strategy and architecture. In addition, this role provides input into the in-scope technical architecture for outsourcing projects. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Works under direction from Senior Manager and Manager, Innovation and Technology Engineering to execute and implement specific engineering organizational activities and interfaces with internal and external Chesterton customers.
  • Makes recommendations and/or contributions regarding solutions to new techniques and products.
  • Works closely with business unit performance managers and quality assurance staff to review service provider problems, to analyze and validate the accuracy of information and the feasibility of solutions
  • Tracks industry trends and maintains knowledge of new technologies in the area of expertise to better evaluate business unit service requests and service provider proposals.

Job Summary:

 

The Shipper / Receiver is responsible for a wide variety of tasks involved in the order fulfillment of customer orders, shipping, receiving and warehousing of raw materials, finished goods, supplies, and equipment. Process incoming items, checks goods received against purchase orders and/or invoices, perform quality control checks on incoming raw materials and finished goods. Prepares and maintains records of both received goods and merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges for goods prepared for final shipment. Responsible for basic cycle counting and reconciliation.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Responsible for using AX2012 to properly execute orders, create inventory inquiries to pick, pack, stage and receive orders.
  • Packages customer orders by using proper packaging and labeling methods which involves using the computer database system.
  • Understands and utilizes manifest computer system in order to properly execute the charges, weights, etc.
  • Prepares proper shipping documents, i.e., truck bills of lading, domestic air freight forms, etc.
  • Operates and maintains fork truck as needed.
  • Responsible for physically putting incoming materials (raw material, finished goods and purchase for resale) in proper locations and well as transacting these systematically.
  • Interacts well with internal customers including peers, supervisors, managers and external customers including truck drivers and walk-in customers, etc.
  • Prepare export documents on designated export shipments, as necessary.
  • Assist in the loading of daily truck shipments.
  • Transport products throughout the facility and between the three Groveland buildings.
  • Responsible for the completion of housekeeping tasks of assigned area: Trash / recycling removal daily, refilling of air bubbles, labels, boxes, paper in printers, etc.
  • Coordinates shipments between Chesterton entities both domestically and internationally.
  • May assist in the training of new Shipper / Receivers.

May perform equipment maintenance.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Consults production reports to determine tools needed for days production. Consults mold location charts, retrieves molds and places press to be reheated. Must be capable of reading instructions, reading and understanding graphic charts, and following a sequence of events. Must be capable of lifting up to fifty (50) pounds, utilizing supportive lifting equipment for heavier items and/or assistance from another employee.
  • Moves molds throughout the production process requiring the ability to operate simple to moderately difficult machines with up to five (5) or six (6) steps.
  • Utilizes prying equipment requiring the use of both arms and a moderate level of strength.
  • Uses sharp tools, i.e., exacto knives, razor blades and operates band saws to cut materials. This requires manual dexterity and adhering to proper procedures.
  • Performs a variety of repetitive tasks and utilizes a variety of hand and power tools, i.e., cutting and sanding machines. Performs simple lathe and drill press operations.
  • Consults work orders and interprets to determine specific customer requirements.
