Follows a number of specified procedures as prescribed in the work instructions or slightly varied in sequence. This would include, but not be limited to, performing computer transactions on manufacturing orders, pulling raw materials and components for manufacturing orders, putting stock away in defined inventory locations. Handle hazardous raw materials and finished goods. Operate fork truck and other machines on a regular basis. Job Model: On-Site All fully remote positions will require you to travel on site 2-4 times per month depending upon business needs at your own expense.   Hybrid positions will require employees to work both on-site and remote each week under a schedule that has been determined and agreed upon by you and your manager.   On-Site positions will require employees to work on-site for each of their scheduled shifts.   Responsibility • Unpacks vendor purchased items and arranges them within the appropriate stocking locations. • Direct the work of others as it relates to training. Exercise sound judgment in decision making that is in critical nature related to quality of product and safety of operation. • Ensures that all raw materials and components are stored and arranged properly in the appropriate stocking locations. • Must be capable of following instructions in manufacturing plans and manufacturing orders. • Consults with Quality Control to ensure that the batch card information is accurate and weights and percentages are correct. • Retrieves raw materials and components from Warehouse. • Works closely with TP/ARC members on a daily basis on issues related inventory problems, and overall material movement within the manufacturing floor. • Returns raw materials and materials to inventory. • Operates fork truck. • Sets up multiples Work Stations and equipments as specified by shop orders. • Must be capable of setting up and operating several different machines. • Performs basic quality control inspection on raw materials and packaging materials for proper conditions including weights and cleanliness. • May perform other manufacturing support functions like filling, compounding and training in various functions as needed. • Must be capable of utilizing company’s business system. • Disposes properly of hazardous waste in satellite accumulation drums. • Cleans equipments and work area according to safety procedures. • Performs basic maintenance functions on all machines, including general cleaning, replacing filters, etc.   Complexity of Duties • Works with minimal supervision. The Component Picker/Packer supports our customers by correctly picking components used in seal assemblies and then packaging the completed seal assemblies for our customer orders. Job Model: On-Site All fully remote positions will require you to travel on site 2-4 times per month depending upon business needs at your own expense.   Hybrid positions will require employees to work both on-site and remote each week under a schedule that has been determined and agreed upon by you and your manager.   On-Site positions will require employees to work on-site for each of their scheduled shifts.   Responsibility • Consults Bill of Material (BOM) and determines parts needed to pick for seal assemblies or Spare Part Kits. • Correctly picks components used in seal assemblies / Spare Park Kits (SPKs) per the Bill of Material (BOM). • Packs completed assembly orders referencing the BOM for correct packaging materials. • Retrieves component parts from inventory based on inventory data supplied via shop order. • Packer performs simple in process quality control inspection to validate fit and function. • Validates accuracy of components to shop order by part number and/or simple inspection criteria, i.e., o-ring inspection cone, inside diameter inspection via test shafts at the final assembly stage, inspects for thread hang-up, burrs, dirt, and oil residue during assembly. • Identifies all questionable components and isolates them for quality control rework as required. • Identifies and selects appropriate packaging for each assembled seal in accordance with the shop order. • Consults shop order and transcribes (hand-writes) date, lot number, and other designated information onto the packaging label. • Stores and retrieves materials as required. • Maintains clean and efficient assembly bench in work area.   Complexity of Duties • Works with limited supervision. Supervisory instructions given for special assignments. • Ability to work according to written/verbal instructions and procedures which will ensure safety on the job and efficient, effective assembly process.   Essential Skills To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
